What is Therapy?

Therapy is a broad term that describes the many different ways we support clients and the techniques we use to convey ideas. In essence though, it's about sharing a time and space simply to talk.

Some common approaches include:
-
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
-
Schema Therapy
-
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
-
Narrative Therapy
My approach is flexible and always tailored to your individual needs.

Why consider Therapy?
Therapy provides a confidential, non-judgmental space where you can think out loud, explore difficult emotions, and identify patterns that may be causing distress or holding you back.

People seek therapy for many reasons, including:
-
Overcoming specific fears or phobias
-
Coping with grief and loss
-
Relationship difficulties
-
Support for parenting
-
Anger management
-
Anxiety, social phobia, or panic attacks
-
Obsessive-compulsive tendencies
-
Work-related stress
-
Trauma and post-traumatic stress
-
Simply feeling 'out of step' and not sure why

Walk and Talk Therapy
If you prefer open spaces, fresh air, and movement, walk and talk therapy might be a good option for you. Following an initial intake session, we can discuss whether this is the right fit for you.
